MIT/ECAP Real ID Act of 2005 Online Discussion Forum

Terms, Condition and Acceptable Use Rules for Participation

Welcome to the MIT Real ID Discussion Forum. This discussion will focus on the driver license and identity management aspects of the new federal law, and not on the immigration and border control issues.

All participants signify assent to the following terms by use of the MIT Real ID Online Discussion web site.

To participate, just click "comment" on any posted topic that interests you. Comment on as many topics as you like. Each topic is posted by an expert in the field, who has agreed to serve as a facilitator of the discussion that evolves under each topic.

While the discussion will be facilitated, it is assumed in the first instance that absent a need to intervene, the conversations will be largely self-moderating and free. Please be responsible with your language and tone. Please note, however, that for the purpose of moderating the discussion, MIT and the facilitators of each topic reserve the right to remove any comment or, if necessary, any participant, for any reason in their sole discretion. Notwithstanding the foregoing, MIT and the facilitators will make reasonable efforts to work with any participant, including potentially the use of out of band messages, suggestions as to how participation can or should be modified so as to meet community standards or warnings.

Participants agree to allow for the republication of any information posted to this online discussion by MIT or it's affiliates without limitation or restriction. No obscenity, materials violating the intellectual property of others or personally offensive language will be tolerated on this site.

For more information on how to use the discussion web log site, click on the "help" link at the top of each page.

These terms may be modified, without notice.
